MSE Corporation introduces a full line of rope and cable grabs manufactured in our Philadelphia facility. MSE rope and cable grabs are suitable for every fall protection need including horizontal, vertical and "angled" lifeline applications. Rope and cable grabs accommodate synthetic rope diameter 7/16", 1/2", 5/8", 3/4" and cable diameter 5/16" to 3/8". Applications of rope and cable include: construction , general industry, window cleaning, maintenance, military and etc.

Our newly developed and manufactured OSHA and ANSI compliant bi-directional rope and cable grabs for horizontal and "angled" lifelines arrest workers fall and prevent sliding along the "angled" lifeline further reducing possibilities of injury.

MSE patented self-trailing Rope Grabs are designed to provide fall protection for workers ascending or descending a vertical lifeline and are intended to be used as part of a complete fall arrest system (such system usually include a lifeline, rope grab, lanyard, and OSHA approved full body harness). Our grabs can be easily attached, detached and repositioned at any point on the vertical lifeline and automatically lock in place in case of a fall. Applications for rope grabs include: window washing operations, protection of a worker on scaffolding, powered platforms, boatswain’s chair, ladder climbing, construction, general industry and etc.

Rope Grabs provide fall protection for workers who are ascending or descending a vertical lifeline. If a fall occurs, the rope grab will automatically lock onto the safety line and limit free fall while absorbing much of the generated forces. Main problem of the “regular” rope grab is that in a panic situation during the fall, worker may grip the rope grab and hold the lever in the open position. The grab will not activate and will not stop the fall.
MSE Anti-Panic Rope Grab will arrest the fall even if worker is holding the lock lever in an open position.

MSE Compact Rope Grab (Model: RGC) is a new generation of trailing rope grabs. The newly developed grab comfortably fits in a palm of one’s hand and is much lighter and smaller than a full size rope grab.

Detachable design allows the user to easily attach or remove the device anywhere along the 5/16” or 3/8”dia. 7x19 galvanized or stainless steel cable.

MSE cable grab must always be used with a shock absorber.
